Accommodations: The all-suite accommodations are available in 7 categories and feature amenities such as private furnished patios, 1 king or 2 double beds, air-conditioning, TV, phone, in-room safe, stocked mini-bar, bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer, and iron/ironing board. TIP: Rooms on the fourth and fifth floors have the best views. During January to March, many guests spot migrating whales from their balconies. Room service is available 24 hours.
Dining & Entertainment: El Patio and Seaside Grill are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with the latterbeing a popular choice for grilled specialties and snacks during the day because of its convenient location near the pool. Oceana offers fresh, local seafood, and is open for lunch and dinner. Himitsu is a dinner-only restaurant serving pan-Asian cuisine. Portofino serves innovative and traditional Italian fare. Dress code varies between restaurants, but none require reservations. A private dinner for 2 on the beach creates an extra-romantic mood for celebrating a honeymoon, anniversary, or just the simple, happy fact that you're in love. Stage shows enliven things after dinner, and drinks are served at 5 bars where theme parties and karaoke keep the fun going every night.
Recreation: The wide stretch of sand is ideal for sunbathing, and the shore is dotted with thatched-roof palapas and hammocks. NOTE: Due to strong currents, the waters are not safe for swimming. To go swimming, head for the pools, one of which is an infinity pool facing the Sea of Cortez; both have swim-up bars. A variety of land and water sports are on hand, including water skiing, kayaking, parasailing, tennis, volleyball, and mountain biking. There is a fitness center, and aerobics classes, and the spa offers a full menu of indulging, relaxing treatments, massages, and therapies to rejuvenate the mind and body. There is a kids' pool, and The Explorer’s Club for Kids is a fully supervised program that entertains travelers ages 3-12 with varying daily programs based on science, nature, and exploration.
